Deuteronomy 25:18
“How he met thee by the way, and smote the hindmost of thee, even all that were feeble behind thee, when thou wast faint and weary”
Our enemy the devil has an attack plan. The Amalekites, the enemy attacked Israel; God’s children and we can learn from this attack.
1. The enemy is aggressive and offensive.
He likes to initiate the attack. That’s why you must always be ready to fight the enemy on a spiritual, physical, mental and emotional level.
2. The enemy likes to attack when you are not paying attention.
The hindmost part represents an area of your life that you not paying attention to. It could be your kid’s spiritual life, marriage or health. Be vigilant; watch every area of your life; your health, finances and prayer life.
3. The enemy attacks when you are vulnerable.
When you are “feeble” or vulnerable, the enemy can take advantage of you.
Example, someone can take advantage of you sexually when you are emotionally vulnerable. It could also happen if you are financially vulnerable or desperate for love. Trust in God to supply your needs.
4. The enemy attacks when you are tired.
Tiredness stops you from putting up a fight. This can make the enemy easily overpower you and attack your health, mind or relationships. Make a conscious decision to refresh your spirit, soul and body frequently so you can overcome the enemy.
Stand and fight!
