Genesis 27:28
“Therefore God give thee of the dew of heaven, and the fatness of the earth,
and plenty of corn and wine.”
One thing that affects us is our physical location. Life in a village is different from life in a big city. It is not only your physical location that affects you; your spiritual location also does. Do you know that spiritually we are located in different places?
Your spiritual location has nothing to do with your physical location. You can physically be in South Africa and spiritually elsewhere.
Unbelievers have a spiritual location. They dwell in the kingdom of darkness. Physically they may be in Tokyo or Ghana, but their spiritual location is different. Similarly, when we become born again we are moved from the kingdom of darkness into God’s Kingdom. Colossians 1:13 reads, “Hath delivered us from the power of darkness, and hath translated us into the kingdom of his dear Son.”
Spiritually, there are people whose location makes them enjoy something called the dew of heaven. What is dew? It is the drops of water that falls in the night when it is not raining. Most plants in the desert survive with the dew. Also, there are people whose spiritual location is in the desert. When you live in a spiritual desert, it is like living in the desert physically. Life is a struggle.
In Genesis 27:27-29, Isaac blessed Jacob with the dew of heaven. When this spiritual dew begins to fall on you, it makes you immune to external conditions. From today, may you operate under the dew of heaven!
Obedience to God’s Word releases the dew. Pray and ask God for the dew of heaven to fall on every area of your life!
