One thing we could all do is to show a little more kindness to people.
Sometimes, marital relationships deteriorate with time. Once beautiful bodies begin to decay and the kids grow and leave home, familiarity and bitterness can set in making couples despise each other.
There may not be much at stake as time passes, so unkindness and mistreatment can increase. Your relationship doesn’t have to be that way. You can choose to be loving and caring to death.
Ruth is a good example. Boaz married her because he had heard about her kindness toward her deceased husband and aged mother-in-law. Maybe he fell ill and had to be nursed by her. It can be difficult to love the sick and the aged because they can be a burden.
Boaz said to her, “Blessed be thou of the LORD, my daughter: for thou hast shewed more kindness in the latter end than at the beginning, inasmuch as thou followedest not young men, whether poor or rich.” Ruth 3:10.
Ruth maintained and increased her kindness towards people with time. She “shewed more kindness in the latter end than at the beginning”
Make a decision to be kind to people especially your spouse.
