God seems to believe in paying people for loss of time. In one of the laws of the old testament, if a person injured another person and incapacitated him, it was his duty to pay for the loss of time till the person was fit to work again.

Exodus 21:18-19

“And if men strive together, and one smite another with a stone, or with his fist, and he die not, but keepeth his bed: If he rise again; He shall pay for the loss of his time, and shall cause him to be thoroughly healed.”

Have you lost time?

Sometimes, when we look at our service to God and the return on investment we may be tempted to think that we have wasted our time.

You can put a lot into a relationship that eventually leads nowhere and realize you have lost time. Sometimes, all your friends may have left you behind and you seem to be frozen in a time capsule. Many of your friends may have married, had kids and be pushing on in their career.

Don’t be afraid because God can compensate you for any loss of time. If he demands that of ordinary humans you can imagine how big his compensation can be.

Israel left Egypt with their silver and home because he compensated them for loss of time. Pray to God to have mercy on you and compensate you for any loss of time.
