Sometimes I meet people who tell me about prophecies, dreams or visions they have received. Some of them don’t know what their response should be.
This is because they may doubt it in the first place, or not know what to do to make it come to pass. Sometimes we should respond to such things like the way Mary, the mother of Jesus responded to the prophecy of the shepherds concerning his birth.
They told her they have seen angels who informed them she was supposed to give birth to the Saviour.
“But Mary kept all these things, and pondered them in her heart”.
Luke 2:19
I want us to examine her response.
1. She kept them “on the shelf of prophecy”
When we shelve things we store them till we need them again. It’s good to shelf prophecies. Time has a way of determining what is of God and what is not.
“For all flesh is as grass, and all the glory of man as the flower of grass. The grass withereth, and the flower thereof fallethaway: But the word of the Lord endureth for ever. And this is the word which by the gospel is preached unto you”(1 Pet. 1:23-25)
According to this scripture things that are not of God will die a natural death over time because they are perishable. The things that are of God will last because they are durable.
2. Ponder
Think about it. After you have had a revelation you should think about it. Thinking helps you to formulate and implement the steps and actions you need to actualize it.
May every prophecy be manifested in your life.
