We usually measure power by how much you can give not by how much you can take. For example, if someone builds a huge company or church, performs miracles or has a lot of money you can easily describe him or her as powerful. The scripture, however, recognizes other forms of power which may not be that impressive.

Numbers 14:17-18.
“And now, I beseech thee, let the power of my Lord be great, according as thou hast spoken, saying,The Lord is long suffering, and of great mercy, forgiving iniquity and transgression, and by no means clearing the guilty, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children unto the third and fourth generation.”

God was angry with Israel and wanted to destroy them. Moses pleaded with him and asked him to show “great power”; How? What I find interesting is what is described as great power.

Let’s examine three elements of great power.
Moses said show: long-suffering, mercy, and forgiveness. These three sound very weak and unimpressive. It may not be impressive on earth but in heaven, they are very powerful.

The time has come for you to show great power. Have patience with people, show mercy and forgive those who hurt you.
