Do you want God to hear your prayer? There are many prayers that go unheard because they don’t meet the criteria for answered prayer. What are some of the reasons why God hears the prayer of some. Let’s examine a couple of them.
Psalms 17:1
“A Prayer of David. Hear the right, O Lord, attend unto my cry, give ear unto my prayer, that goeth not out of feigned lips.”
1. God hears the right: In other words God hears the righteous. Answered prayer is more closely related to your walk with God than the words you speak. When you don’t know this you will put more premium on words than your relationship with God.
2. Sincere prayer: This is “prayer that goeth not out of feigned lips.” Sometimes we approach God with insincere prayers. We try to impress him with our  religious prayer instead of saying what is on our hearts. Some prayers are also pretentious.
When God told Moses to go and deliver Israel he refused and said; who am I that I should go and confront the super power of the day. Now that’s sincere prayer and a very valid point. God was not upset but rather assured him He will be with him. He gave him a supernatural rod to help him fulfill his task.
It’s time to be righteous and sincere so you can catch the attention of God in prayer.
