James 1:12
“Blessed [is] the man that endureth temptation: for when he is tried, he shall receive the crown of life, which the Lord hath promised to them that love him.”
God allows the devil to tempt us sometimes because He wants to;
- Bless us, and
- Give us a crown of glory
He allowed the devil to tempt Jesus with the lusts of the flesh, eye, and the pride of life. When He passed, He moved to the next level; He entered ministry. The purpose was to find out His motive for serving Him or what was in His heart. The same goes for Job.
Next time you are tempted, remember, it’s a promotional exam, and the devil is the chief examiner!
