Good fathers leave an inheritance for their children. Maybe your biological father may not have left you any inheritance but your spiritual father in heaven has. This inheritance is revealed by scripture and by the revelation of the Holy Spirit.

However, there are obstacles to God’s inheritance.

Deuteronomy 1:21″

Behold, the Lord thy God hath set the land before thee: go up and possess it, as the Lord God of thy fathers hath said unto thee; fear not, neither be discouraged.”

Moses encouraged Israel to possess their inheritance but he pointed out obstacles to it. Let’s examine them.

1. He said to them “fear not.”

One of the definitions of fear is a lack of mental strength to venture into new areas. You will need boldness to venture into new areas of your inheritance. It could be to start your own business, enter ministry or even marry.

2. Discouragement
Life is full of challenges and discouragement will sap the energy you need to overcome these challenges.

Encourage yourself with the word because your inheritance will come with challenges.
