Don’t Sell Your Birthright!

“And Jacob said, sell me this day thy birthright and Esau said, behold, i [am] at the point to die: and what profit shall this birthright do to me? and Jacob said, swear to me this day; and he sware unto him: and he sold his birthright unto Jacob.”

I know a gentleman who inherited wealth and real estate from his father. He sold all his birthright or inheritance, and squandered all the money. He died a pauper! He was not born poor but he died poor, because he sold his birthright.

When Jesus died, He left a spiritual inheritance for all His children. Some of His children sell their birthright consciously and unconsciously. As a result, they never become who God made them to be.

You may ask, “How do I do that?”

You do that by saying something contrary to what God and His word have said about you. Remember, Esau sold his by swearing and saying, “What profit shall it be to me?”

Watch your tongue especially when you are stressed or under pressure. That is when the devil buys your birthright.
