The ability to follow the voice of the Lord is critical for a successful Christian life. The Holy Spirit can act like a GPS, only asking you to make critical turns at crucial points in your journey. Sometimes, the GPS system in your car can keep on saying “keep straight” knowing there is a temptation to deviate and make a turn.

Matthew 2:13
“And when they were departed, behold, the angel of the Lord appeareth to Joseph in a dream, saying, Arise, and take the young child and his mother, and flee into Egypt, and be thou there until I bring thee word: for Herod will seek the young child to destroy him.”

When the life of Jesus was threatened by Herod, God asked his parents to flee into Egypt until he brings them “word.” In other words, don’t move till I say move.

When you are walking with God you must always stick to his last instruction till he makes a change. The temptation to vary the instruction because of time, inconvenience and pressure can be great but we must learn not to move when he has not moved. Don’t marry, relocate, or make a major decision till he makes a move.

Wait for a word before making a major decision.
