Do you want to be delivered from evils like diseases, evil spirits, and sin?
Do you want to maintain your deliverance and be safe after you have been delivered?
Here are two keys.
Jeremiah 33:16
“In those days shall Judah be saved, and Jerusalem shall dwell safely: and this is the name wherewith she shall be called, The Lord our righteousness.”
Judah and Jerusalem were to be saved or delivered and dwell in safety. This was to be achieved through a particular name: The “Lord our righteousness.”
Let’s look at one example through which this can be achieved.
The blood of Jesus.
Romans 10:9 has this procedure. “That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.”
When we repent and ask the Lord to wash away our sins by the blood of Jesus we become spiritually saved or born again. The blood of Jesus is a detergent that washes away sin. This makes us children of God.
This takes us to the next step; safety. Children with fathers are safer than children without fathers. They receive counsel, wisdom and protection. In the same way, God keeps us safe when we become his kids.
Leading a righteous life also keeps you safe from things like teenage pregnancy, truancy and diseases.
Do you want to be delivered and saved? Make the Lord your righteousness.
