Sometimes, I have wondered whether it is possible for a whole nation or the majority of the people in a nation to go to hell. This is because there are nations where the majority of the people do not worship God. According to Psalm 9:17, this is possible.
It reads, “The wicked shall be turned into hell, and all the nations that forget God.”
In the story of God’s judgment on the cities of Sodom and Gomorrah, two entire cities apart from Lot and his family perished. Jude 1:7 reads, “Even as Sodom and Gomorrah, and the cities about them in like manner, giving themselves over to fornication, and going after strange flesh, are set forth for an example, suffering the vengeance of eternal fire.”
Matthew 25 also talks about God’s judgment on the nations. I suspect God’s judgments starts with nations, then families, then individuals. In that scripture, we see nations separated by the Lord as a shepherd separates his sheep from the goats. The goats, which represent rebellious people, were sent into eternal fire.
There are people who think that God is so kind He will not sit in judgment to judge and condemn so many people. You could be wrong.
Pray for forgiveness. Ask God to come into your heart if you don’t know him!
