Psalms 86:3
Be merciful unto me, O Lord: for I cry unto thee daily.
One thing we all need is mercy. There are times when you may need someone to be lenient or compassionate towards you. Sometimes in an exam all you may need just one extra mark to pass. Mercy will send you over the finishing line.
If we require mercy from men, you can imagine how much more we need mercy from God. How can we obtain this?
First of all, we must ask for it. David asked God for mercy;”be merciful to me.”
Secondly he gave a reason; “I cry unto thee daily.”
Prayer is indicative of our trust and dependence on God. These are two qualities needed to attract divine mercy.
Pray, trust and depend on God for mercy.
