Psalms 73:23-24

“Nevertheless I am continually with thee: thou hast holden me by my right hand.

Thou shalt guide me with thy counsel, and afterward receive me to glory.”

There is a difference between walking with God intermittently and walking with God always. Sometimes, we fail to reap the benefits of something because we are not consistent.

David reaped the benefits of being “always with God.” How can you be always with God?

First of all, you must be guided by the Holy Spirit. “Thou hast holden me by my right hand.” When my children were smaller, I used to hold them by the right hand and guide them to cross the street etc. The hand of God, is one of the titles of the Holy Spirit.

“So the spirit lifted me up, and…the hand of the Lord was strong upon me.” Ezk 3:14.

Allow the Holy Spirit to guide you by his convictions and leadings.

Secondly, you must be guided by the word of God.“Thou shalt guide me with thy counsel.” Read the word daily and be guided by it.

Finally, the final destination of all who are guided by the Lord is glory or beauty.

God will make your life beautiful both on earth and in eternity that is why it is good to say to the Lord “I will always be with you.”
