There are some people who tend to think that once you are a child of God, you are immune from all the challenges and difficulties life can present. This view is unrealistic and cannot be supported by human experience.

Ecclesiastes 9:2

“All things come alike to all: there is one event to the righteous, and to the wicked; to the good and to the clean, and to the unclean; to him that sacrificeth, and to him that sacrificeth not: as is the good, so is the sinner; and he that sweareth, as he that feareth an oath.”

This scripture makes us understand, that the righteous and the wicked; the unclean and the clean can have similar experiences. It is therefore sometimes erroneous to ascribe people’s problems to sin, curses or demons, although they could be a cause.

When the rain falls, it does not distinguish between the good and the evil; it’s common to all.

Without this understanding, when you go through difficultiesyou can easily feel God has deserted you or you are not a good Christian.

God did not say there will be no fire.” He said, “Through the fire, I will be with you.

He has promised to be with us through the fire, waters, and darkness. Trust in Him!
