There are some people who tend to think that once you are a child of God, you are immune from all the challenges and difficulties life can present. This view is unrealistic and cannot be supported by human experience.
“All things come alike to all: there is one event to the righteous, and to the wicked; to the good and to the clean, and to the unclean; to him that sacrificeth, and to him that sacrificeth not: as is the good, so is the sinner; and he that sweareth, as he that feareth an oath.”
This scripture makes us understand that the righteous and the wicked; the unclean and the clean can have similar experiences. It is therefore sometimes erroneous to ascribe people’s problems to sin, curses or demons, although they could be a cause.
When the rain falls, it does not distinguish between the good and the evil; it’s common to all.
