One of the most difficult things to do as a Christian is to follow the Holy Spirit. It takes spiritual maturity to be able to do this. As many as are led by the Spirit of God they are the matured sons of God.
The most difficult part of it may not even be what you are thinking. I mean things like prayer, fasting, or reading your bible. These can be sometimes tough to do but the most difficult part is the waiting. I mean plain waiting. Doing nothing until God tells you to.
“Or whether it were two days, or a month, or a year, that the cloud tarried upon the tabernacle, remaining thereon, the children of Israel abode in their tents, and journeyed not: but when it was taken up, they journeyed.”
Israel was delivered by God from bondage in Egypt. The Lord asked them to follow the cloud of the Holy Spirit. Can you imagine the cloud could be stationary for years without moving!
Some of us are believing God for things which have still not manifested after years. The temptation is to take things into your own hands and save the situation because it seems God is delaying. It could be a delayed promise, child, healing, marriage or breakthrough.
Have faith and keep on following. One day, God will bring you to your promised land.
