“They shall not hurt nor destroy in all my holy mountain: for the earth shall be full of the knowledge of the Lord, as the waters cover the sea.”
Can you imagine there will be a time when there shall be no hurt or destruction?
It will be the end of wars, divorce, murder etc. We will experience tranquility or peace. The holy mountain is heaven. It’s also called mount Zion; the city of the living God, the heavenly Jerusalem.
Although we are not in heaven yet, I want you to notice there are two contributory factors mentioned that can help us experience a measure of tranquility. They are holiness; remember it’s a holy mountain, and the knowledge of the Lord.
When we walk in holiness it helps us to avoid trouble and it creates peace. How can you be in trouble with law enforcement when you are not into drugs. How can you have a venereal disease when you don’t sleep around. Why will your marriage not be great when you are not rude and offensive.
Knowledge of the Lord
There is a scripture that says “thou will keep him in perfect peace whose mind is stayed on thee because he trusted in thee.” The knowledge of God builds your trust in God. Trust creates peace because you know that God is in control irrespective of what is going on.
Walk in holiness and read your bible and you will experience tranquility.
