Have you ever had to deal with bad news? Maybe you lost your job, a loved one or some money. How did you respond to it? Your response is crucial because bad news can have a negative effect on you if you don’t handle it well.
Psalms 112:7 states, “He shall not be afraid of evil tidings: his heart is fixed, trusting in the Lord.”
The first thing I want you to note is everyone is susceptible to evil tidings or bad news. It could come as a text, phone call, email or in a conversation.
To be able to handle bad news, you must develop a fixed heart. This means the development of an unwavering faith in God by feeding on the Word, and developing “your faith muscle” before trouble strikes. With a developed faith, you will be able to absorb some of the heavy blows life can throw your way, and survive it. How is this possible?
Your trust will not be in yourself, neither will you be intimidated by the size of your problem because your trust will be in God. The time has come for you to develop your faith ahead of time.
Read the Word everyday to be able to receive the heavy blows that life can throw!
