There are different types of medicines. We have traditional medicine which is usually taken orally as pills. We also have herbal medicine etc. The word of God is also a form of medicine.
Proverbs 4:20-22
“My son, attend to my words; incline thine ear unto my sayings. Let them not depart from thine eyes; keep them in the midst of thine heart. For they are life unto those that find them, and health to all their flesh.”
The word is “health” It’s medicine, not only to the flesh but to the spirit and soul. That is why the preaching of God’s word can make people born again and also encourage the broken hearted.
The word is also medicine to the flesh. Personally, I have witnessed the blind see, the deaf hear and miracles occur wherever I have preached the word.
That is why it’s important to read your Bible every day because it’s a superior form of medicine.
Every medicine has to be administered and the word is administered through your ear; “incline your ear” and your eyes; “let them not depart from your eyes.”
You will also need a huge dose of humility. “Incline your ear” I will describe humility as the water that helps to swallow the pills. You can’t bow or incline your ear without bowing your head.
